Where to start?
***Step One*** Free Beginners' Class
First, come on down for a free beginners' class. You will learn more about CrossFit and get in a WOD (Workout Of the Day) to see if San Angelo CrossFit might be a good fit for you. (Alternatively, if you already know CrossFit is for you, feel free to skip ahead to Step 2 and sign up for Foundations Training).
We prefer people call and schedule their beginners' class, but if you have any trouble doing so, just come to the scheduled class and we'll be happy to put you through our workout.
***Step Two*** Foundations
Your next step is Foundations Training, a two-week-long series of 4 classes, which will teach you the basic techniques (including key movements from gymnastics, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and kettlebelling) and ramp you up to full CrossFit intensity. During Foundations we'll want to know a little more about you, such as: your personal goals, current health concerns, or up and coming competitions. Foundations Training is a mandatory pre-requisite for general membership, and we have two options for you. OPTION 1: $65 for Foundations or OPTION 2: $130 for Foundations plus your first month of CrossFit. You MUST contact us to be enrolled in Foundations Training. The 4 class schedule is sequential so the material covered must be trained in the exact order it is coached. If a class is missed, let's say Day 2, you must make it up before training Day 3. In the event this occurs, we'll discuss what options we have to get you caught up. You might be able to make it up with another Foundations group or you might need to take a private lesson for an ADDITIONAL $20 CHARGE per make up session.
If the Foundations Training class times do not fit your schedule, or if you would prefer more individualized attention, email Jeromy to sign up for Foundations Private Lessons. These can be done individually or with multiple people. Pricing for the 4 classes is $130 for an individual, $115/person for a group of two trainees, and $100/person for a group of three or more trainees.
***Step Three*** CrossFit Membership with unlimited access to group training
After successful completion of the Foundations Training you can join as a CrossFit member and enjoy the camaraderie and support system of San Angelo CrossFit. All workouts are programmed and scaled for you. Just show up and give your everything and the results will follow!
What's the monthly cost for training under SACF's program and how exactly does the gym operate?
We are not a typical gym where you pay a fee to come in and use the equipment. We program the training for you, instruct movements daily, offer nutritional advice, and guide you through scaling and progressions every time you walk in the door. You are in small group classes, essentially getting private training at a fraction of the cost. We guarantee that our program goes far beyond the areas of traditional gyms or typical personal trainers. Finally, you'll also get an online account to our great website which allows you to consistently chart and track your fitness progression. You can train any day we are open and at any time of day a class is scheduled.
The monthly cost for training at SACF is $130 for Individuals and only $75 for an additional family member. Although we do not allow a "double discount" we do provide an AWESOME PERSON discount of 15% for all Teachers, College Students, Fire Fighters, Police Officers, EMT, and Active Military. Just be prepared to provide the appropriate documentation as such. You DO NOT sign a long-term contract for our unlimited training. If you ever need to stop training with SACF you just need to provide a written cancellation notice or email us at least 10 days prior to your bill date. We allow you the flexibility to select the 5th or 20th of every month as your bill date and we process your monthly dues through a bank autodraft (ACH form).
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS & INFO:
***Personal Training*** Personal Training is a great option when you need to learn specific skills, or prefer closer attention in addressing your unique health and fitness goals. Sessions are available by appointment and are paid for in advance or at the start of the session by cash or check.
$50 per session for one trainee
$40 per person for a two trainee session
$30 per person for a three trainee session
***Drop-in Fees for Traveling CrossFitters*** First off, we'd love for you to stop by while visiting so you can keep your CrossFit routine going. IT IS MANDATORY that you give us a heads up and let us know when you are coming. VERY IMPORTANT: In order to maintain proper intregrity for our class we will ask you to perform the movements that are part of that day's WOD. If you cannot show safe and efficient form we will not allow you to workout. We hope you understand that this is simply to protect you and our gym. The drop-in fee is $10/day for out-of-town guests.
